Conditions we treat
Start with what hurts. Each one opens to a plain explanation of what is usually behind it and how we approach it.

Most back pain comes from joints in the spine that have stopped moving well, muscles that are guarding, or a disc that is irritated. Sitting, lifting, and old injuries all play a part. The exam sorts out which it is. Care is usually adjustments, sometimes decompression for disc problems, and a few simple things to do at home.

Phones, desks, and driving keep the neck in one position for hours, and the joints at the base of the skull and the top of the shoulders pay for it. Gentle, specific adjustments restore the motion, and a few posture changes keep it from coming back.

Discs are the cushions between the vertebrae. When one bulges or tears, it can press on a nerve and send pain down an arm or a leg. Rest alone often does not fix it. Spinal decompression takes pressure off the disc so it can heal, and adjustments restore motion around it.

The sciatic nerve runs from the low back through the hip and down each leg. Pressure on it, usually from a disc or a tight muscle deep in the hip, causes the shooting pain, tingling, or weakness. Finding the source is the whole job. Treating the leg alone does nothing.

A curve that showed up in childhood or crept in with age puts uneven load on the spine and the muscles around it. We cannot straighten a structural curve, and anyone who promises to should be questioned. We can keep the spine moving, ease the pain that comes with it, and watch for changes over time.

Head
A large share of headaches begin in the neck. Tight joints and muscles at the top of the spine refer pain up over the head and behind the eyes. When that is the cause, adjustments and posture work make a real difference in how often they come and how hard they hit.

Some vertigo starts in the inner ear and some in the upper neck, where the joints feed position information to the brain. The exam sorts out which. Neck-related dizziness often responds well to gentle upper cervical care, and our seminars cover balance and fall prevention for the same reason.

Injuries
Whiplash is the neck snapping forward and back faster than the muscles can react. Pain and stiffness often show up a day or two later. Early care matters. We examine, take X-rays if needed, treat gently, and are used to working with auto insurance paperwork.

Athletes come in for two reasons: an injury that is not healing, and a body that is not moving the way it should. Both come down to joints and soft tissue. Care gets you moving properly again, and shockwave is an option for tendon problems that have dragged on.

Work injuries are usually one of two things: a single lift that went wrong, or the same motion thousands of times. We treat the injury and look at the mechanics that caused it. Bring your claim information to the first visit if it is a workplace case.

Arms and legs
The shoulder relies on the neck, the upper back, and the ribs to work well. Rotator cuff strains, tendinitis, and frozen shoulder all respond to restoring motion in the whole chain. Shockwave is often used for calcium deposits in the shoulder tendons.

Pain that travels down an arm or a leg usually starts at the spine, where a nerve is being irritated. Treating where it hurts misses the cause. We trace it back and treat the source.

True carpal tunnel is pressure on a nerve at the wrist, but the same symptoms often come from the neck, the elbow, or the shoulder. The exam checks the whole path before anyone talks about surgery.

A lot of knee pain has more to do with how the hips, ankles, and the knee itself are moving than with anything that needs surgery. Care may include adjustments to the knee and the joints around it, knee decompression, and a short set of exercises.

Peripheral neuropathy, most often from diabetes, is nerve damage that usually starts in the feet. Ignoring it leads to balance problems and falls. We test for the kind of nerve involvement, then work on circulation and nerve function with a plan that includes things you can do at home.

Life stages
As the belly grows, the pelvis and low back take the load. Gentle, pregnancy-specific care keeps the pelvis balanced and the back comfortable, and the later months are a lot easier for it.

Kids get adjusted differently: light, quick, often just fingertip pressure. Parents bring them in for posture, headaches, sports, and the aftermath of a fall. Parents stay in the room, and we explain everything as we go.
